How to raise a Genius
A genius? How do you define genius? According to wikipedia...
A genius is a person who displays exceptional intellectual ability, creativity, or originality, typically to a degree that is associated with the achievement of unprecedented insight. There is no scientifically precise definition of genius, and the question of whether the notion itself has any real meaning has long been a subject of debate. The term is used in various ways: to refer to a particular aspect of an individual, or the individual in his or her entirety; to a scholar in many subjects (e.g. Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz or Leonardo da Vinci) [1] or a scholar in a single subject (e.g., Albert Einstein or Isaac Newton). Research into what causes genius and mastery is still in its early stages, and psychology offers relevant insights.
But... is it necessary to raise a Genius (like in the definition above)? I prefer my kids to be wholesome which means I want them to be intelligent intellectually AND be a nice person. Kalau orang dulu2 kata jadi ORANG, you know have all the compassionate, courteous and others nilai2 murni. heheh...
However, may be we can try to raise a genius as per tips below:
1- Limit TV for babies under two (d@mn... I failed this one)
2- Teach them patience (and now they always said "Be patience, ibu" whenever I request them to do something.... overload of patience lesson perhaps)
3- Make sure they exercise
4- Don't tell them they are smart
5- Praising their effort
