Are you happy???

Happiness is very subjective. It is not tangible but pursued by everyone in the world.

As defined in Wikipedia :
"Happiness is a mental or emotional state of well-being characterized by positive or pleasantemotions ranging from contentment to intense joy.[1] A variety of biological, psychological,religious, and philosophical approaches have striven to define happiness and identify its sources. Various research groups, including Positive psychology, endeavor to apply thescientific method to answer questions about what "happiness" is, and how we might attain it.
Philosophers and religious thinkers often define happiness in terms of living a good life, or flourishing, rather than simply as an emotion. Happiness in this sense was used to translate the Greek Eudaimonia, and is still used in virtue ethicsHappiness economics suggests that measures of public happiness should be used to supplement more traditional economic measures when evaluating the success of public policy."

Since it is desired by everyone, then comes the question, how to be happy??

  1. Don't hate others simply because they have wronged you
    • We should not held grudge against others since no one is perfect
    • Forgive everyone before sleep
  2. Combat worry by having hope in the Almighty and praying excessively
    • there is a saying... working like you are going to live 100 years more, praying like you are going to die tomorrow....
  3. Live simply no matter how high your status may rise
    • warren buffet do live simply
    • my personal opinion, why carry a RM1000-priced handbag if you only have RM1 in your wallet ;) the more important thing is the content in the handbag hihihi :)
  4. Expect goodness no matter how many tests you may face
    • there is always blessing in every tests so count your blessings
    • the test is usually to test if your are worth the better goodness that came after that, simple example: broke up with boyfriend A thus will meet with boyfriend B (which is much better) hehehe
  5. Be generous even if you feel a slight loss
    • only then the generosity is genuine
  6. Smile, even if your heart may be sad
    • actions can affect our emotion
    • laugh everyday (but not the type of rolling on the floor laughing)

This is a reminder to myself also, I am myself responsible for myself to be happy. No other people can dictate whether I am happy or not.

So lets be happy go lucky :))
